§ 2-149. Duties.

The economic development committee shall be responsible for implementing the following economic development program goals:

(1)

Guide and coordinate the efforts of local individuals and organizations concerned with the economic development of the village.

(2)

Retain existing employment opportunities and encourage the expansion of existing business and industry in the village by helping to meet the needs of existing employers.

(3)

Create new employment opportunities through the attraction of new employers to the community.

(4)

Assist in creating new employment opportunities by facilitating entrepreneurial opportunities in the village.

(5)

Facilitate economic development in the village through the provision of community facilities and services that will assist in the expansion of employment opportunities.

(6)

To assist the village in marketing, coordinating and facilitating the development of the Mukwonago Industrial Park.
