§ 45-151. Water supply facilities.

  • (a)

    The subdivider shall cause water supply and distribution facilities to be installed in such a manner as to make adequate water service available to each lot within the subdivision. If municipal water service is not available, the subdivider shall make provision for adequate private water systems as required by the village in accordance with the standards of the department of commerce, and the Waukesha County Board of Health. The village board shall require the installation of water mains to the to the farthest extent of the street lot line. All water mains shall be constructed in accordance with the standard specifications adopted in sections 501 through 555 of the "Development Requirements: Sanitary Sewer, Watermain, and Storm Sewer" (including current updates) of the Village of Mukwonago. A copy of these standard specifications may be obtained from the village clerk or building inspector.

    (b)

    The subdivider shall assume the cost of installing all water mains, water laterals, and water system appurtenances within the proposed subdivision, except for the added cost of installing water mains greater than eight inches in diameter.
