§ 74-9. Discharges from sump pumps and roof drains.

  • (a)

    Discharges to public rights-of-way. Discharges from sump pumps, roof drains, swimming pools, hoses, etc. shall be terminated ten feet from the public right-of-way. Private discharges that result in frequent or sustained wet conditions to adjacent sidewalks or public areas are prohibited.

    (b)

    Discharges to storm sewers. Property owners desiring to tie private sump pump discharges directly into the village storm sewer system shall obtain a permit from the supervisor of inspections and have the work performed in a manner acceptable to public works supervision. All such connections shall be at the property owner's expense.
