§ 2-41. Position established; appointment; term; compensation.

  • (a)

    Pursuant to W.S.A., §§ 61.195, 61.197 and 66.01, the village elects not to be governed by these portions of W.S.A., §§ 61.19, 61.23 and W.S.A., § 61.25(2) which relate to the selection and tenure of the assessor and which are in conflict herewith.

    (b)

    The office of village assessor is determined to be an appointive office instead of elective as provided in W.S.A., § 61.19, and shall be appointed by the village president with the approval of the majority of the village board, as provided in W.S.A., § 61.197(b).

    (c)

    That said assessor shall hold office for a term of two years, beginning with the first day of the calendar year in off numbered years.

    (d)

    Compensation of the village assessor shall be fixed by the village board.
